Consignor Information

Guidelines

We are always looking for new consignors. Please keep the following things in mind when choosing your items:

  1. If you got it at the Dollar Store, please do not consign it.

  2. Items that are recently purchased, in like-new condition, are clean and well cared for are most likely to sell.

  3. The most common reason for rejecting items, other than style, is “pilling”. This refers to the small balls that form on items in areas that get a lot of wear like underarms, pockets, shirt fronts, and crotches. It happens to lots of different fabrics that have a synthetic base and can occur with only limited wearing. Please check your garment carefully.

Payment

Payment is made in four ways.

  1. You may use your credit in the store to purchase items at checkout.

  2. You may request a cash payment in the store for amounts under $15.00

  3. Checks in excess of $5.00 will be mailed at the end of each month. Payment includes all items that were sold in the previous month. For example, on June 30,
all consignors will be paid for items that sold through the month of May. In July, all consignors will be paid for items that sold through the month of June, and so on.
The check will include all items that were sold regardless of the session that they were entered in, so the payments may include items for more than one session.

  4. You may request that a check be written for you at any time. The amount of the
check will be for the total due you at the time you request the check. Please allow at least one business day for the check to be prepared

Pick-Up at End of Session

When your session has ended, you are free to come into the store and retrieve any items that have not been sold. Please follow the following instructions:

  1. You will be given a pick up date when your items are listed in the computer. Please mark the date down carefully if you wish to pick you items up.. It is extremely difficult to track items once they are in the store account. Please adhere to your pick up date.

  2. When you come to the store, we will provide you with a list of the items that are still available on you account. It will include the size and description of the item. You will be assisted in finding where the sizes are located in the store. We ask that you retrieve your items because you are most familiar with what they look like.

  3. Customers may return garments to the wrong section of the store when they try them on.
We will try to assist you in finding garments that have been rehung improperly, but we cannot be responsible for locating them. Please set aside an adequate amount of time to pull your items. In the vast majority of cases we locate all the items, but we must attend to customers who are shopping and may not be able to give you immediate attention. As partners in this process, please work with us,

  4. All items that are not picked up are donated to charity within two weeks after the pickup
date. We do not pull items and hold them for consignors after the session is over.
